Buying the right earring starts with understanding what types exist. We know, picking a favorite is like picking from a box of chocolates; but understanding the different shapes will help make your decision easier. Universally, there are three types of earrings: studs, drops and hoops. Studs tend to be small and cute, they have different shapes but they are meant to emphasize your ears without any puffiness. Then, we have the drops, these are incredibly charming and include chandelier, and short or long elegant shapes. And finally, we have the hoops or circular earrings, which is pretty self-explanatory we think. Knowing the shapes you like will definitely help make a choice in what earring you love and flatters you most.
PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FACE:
Choosing the right earrings is not like choosing a haircut for your face shape, however, knowing what flatters you is always best! Sweethearts with oval shaped faces can pull off most styles, while girls with heart shaped faces can wear a chandelier or structured earring wonderfully! For more round faces a style that helps elongate the face (longer earrings) will do wonders, and for the square shaped faces, stick to more circular-hoop shapes. Charm earrings flatter everyone, because they are like candy for your ears and can be subtle or add more shine to your lobes.
SHADES OF METAL:
While earrings flatter everyone in general, a few things to keep in mind, especially when buying online, is material, girl! If you have sensitive ears, buying pieces that are not made from precious metals (like silver or gold) may not be the best choice for everyday, but you can definitely wear these from time to time. Also, for warm-toned Belles, golden pieces work better, while cooler Snow Whites benefit from silver pieces.
STYLE MATTERS:
Now that the technicalities are done, let’s talk about personality. Yes, some earrings are more flattering than others, however, your style and personality will definitely influence in choosing the earrings for YOU! Just think about your everyday style; is it edgy, sexy, sweet? For girls who love pearls, charms with a stud are a piece of cake on a Sunday morning, while for the mermaids on earth, a more sultry shape like a chandelier or long shape will be the salt of the ocean! If you go more for a sexy style, a hoop or edgy back charm will make your heart skip a beat. Let’s not forget in the end, jewelry is very personal; so pick that earring that represents who you are and how you feel. Hair up or down? That is up to you!

Look for a rain boot that hits you right below the knee, like a pair of leather riding boots would, and stick to colors like navy, black and army green. Hats started becoming super popular in the past two years or so, so chances are you’ve got a few of them piled in your closet by now. Lucky for you hat lovers, rainy weather is the perfect time to put your hat collection to use and look chic in the dreary weather.
Not everyone is a hat person, and even if you are, not every hat looks good on every head, so do some experimenting and find a hat that works best for you.Some stylish options that are popular right now include a floppy wide brim style or a smaller, cloche style. Both are flattering styles that should work for most people, but be sure that whatever you choose is made of a material that can withstand a little moisture.

When you shop for an umbrella you’re probably thinking practicality, not style, and rightly so since it is your main protector against the rainy elements. However, to hit a home run with your rainy day style, don’t just go for a plain umbrella.
